"Ticket number 37?"
Chris takes the cap off the pen and looks down at the book slammed in front of him on the table. The hand covering the title of the book seemed familiar, rough with short nails. He trails his gaze up his forearms to the sleeve of the shirt up to a smirking face. “You gonna sign my book or what?”
"Darren!" Chris yells, jumping up from his seat and reaching over the table to throw his arms around his boyfriend’s neck for a hug. Darren chuckles and settles into his embrace, sighing in relief. "What are you doing here?" Chris whispers, pulling back and smiling - that smile only Darren can pull out of him. Darren’s tempted to just kiss him right there.
"I came to get my book signed, duh. I mean, I already finished the book and it’s amazing." he says. Chris pouts and hits his chest playfully, sitting back down and opening the book to sign it. Darren kneels down in front of the table and grins wickedly, continuing, "And I don’t know about you but I think the author is pretty hot.."
